You can install Lomiri, the desktop environment of Ubuntu Touch previously known as Unity 8, on all debian-derived Linux distributions, including Ubuntu.

Start by searching the bug device issue if you found it, hopefully the porter is on it. 'Subscribe' to the issue in case it get solved.
